This course is designed for licensed Equine Veterinarians who want to expand their practice to include basic or advanced equine dentistry techniques. The seminars are composed of lectures, cadaver labs and live horse labs. Attendees are instructed in small class sizes on the latest equine dental procedures by experts in the equine dental profession.

The course has been approved for 21 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. Some boards may have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.

ADVANCED SURGICAL EXTRACTION TECHNIQUES IN EQUINE DENTISTRY - MODULE 1 - IN-PERSON

This course is designed for the Practitioner who has completed the Advanced Oral Techniques for the Horse course, which provides the foundation of knowledge required to proceed with the advanced extraction techniques taught in this Module 1 course. The only exception is a second year Equine Dental Resident with the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC).

The course has been approved for 14 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. Some boards may have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.

SMALL ANIMAL DENTISTRY EXTRACTION LAB - IN-PERSON

This course is designed for veterinarians who want to expand their practice to include basic or advanced dentistry techniques. This one day lab is composed of lectures and cadaver labs with half of the day spent on canine and the other half on feline. Attendees are instructed in a small class size on the latest dental procedures by Dr. Brenda L. Mulherin, BS, DVM, DAVDC.

The course has been approved for 8 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. Some boards may have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.

PRACTICAL FIELD ANESTHESIA AND MONITORING TECHNIQUES FOR THE EQUINE PATIENT - ONLINE

This course is designed for the every day practitioner to expand their knowledge of equine field anesthesia. In this course Lori A. Bidwell, DVM, DACVAA will present practical sedation protocols for equine patient in the field setting, discuss pharmacological differences of those techniques, how to monitor the anesthetized patient using ECG, Pulse Oximetry and doppler. Then addresses how to deal with difficult situations as they arise. MONITORING THE SMALL ANIMAL ANESTHESIA PATIENT - ONLINE

This course is designed for the every day practitioner to expand their knowledge of small animal anesthesia. In this lecture, Molly Allen, DVM, DACVV presents the physiologic basis, principles of operation and interpretation for pulse oximetry, capnography and electrocardiography.
